Visitors throng to ''Ghadkaleva' to taste traditional dishes






Raipur, 04 March 2017. The State Government Cultural Department has been spreading the popular local dishes at the 'Ghadkaleva' located at the Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum. The traditional methods of Chhattisgarh cooking are being preserved, propagated and spread among the visitors. Citizens throng to the place to have a taste of the local flavour dishes. Cheela, Fera, Laadu, Kurmi, Tetri, Ureed Bara and several other eatables are sold at the centre. The sale is done by the Monisha Women's Self-Help Group. It employs 35 staff. It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated the 'Ghadkaleva' on 26 January. It is designed as per the local village with cots etc. Visitors enjoy the local flavoured dishes in congenial environment. Chhattisgarh folk songs and music are played. The taste of dishes differ from other States. 'Ghadkaleva' is a milestone in the food served to the customers.
